With global automotive sales reaching an all time record of 88M+ vehicles sold in 2016, the automotive industry continues at a record breaking pace.
Recognizing the need for specialized talent and skills relating specifically to the auto industry, JAS has formally created an Automotive Vertical catering to OEMs, Tier 1 &2 and 3PL customers. The automotive industry's supply chain is a complex one involving many partners including tier suppliers and original equipment manufacturers. It is also one that typically spans many countries. The complexity of the automotive supply chain is often attributed to the coordination and delivery of components from numerous companies in different countries that in turn must be carefully planned to ensure a smooth manufacturing and assembly process.
JAS Automotive understands the complexities of the industry, market volatility, unique interface requirements, and critical deadline requirements. We work with leading automotive manufacturers and suppliers throughout the world, utilizing our effective account management program to develop and maintain seamless product flows.

A dedicated team of JAS Hong Kong employees, led by Sustainability Ambassador Gary Ferreira, came together to make an impact in the lives of those less fortunate. Their mission? To repurpose factory fabric samples generously donated by a department store and instead give them to adults and children in need – the impact was twofold – it clothed adults and children in need and reduced waste sent to a landfill.
The JAS employees started by detaching company labels from each item. They then sorted and packaged the fabrics to ensure the garments could be easily distributed to charitable organizations in Hong Kong and the Philippines. The act of kindness was met with smiling and thankful faces.
This collaboration not only helped address material needs but also contributed to reducing fashion waste. This initiative underscores how corporate entities can address social and environmental challenges by leveraging existing resources and expertise.
We are grateful for our retail partner, Inland Corporation, and the Bruni Foundation for their support in ensuring each item reached its intended recipients with care and efficiency. Such achievements are only possible through collective cross-industry efforts.
This initiative is part of the Bruni Foundation's 'Pay it Forward' program, which empowers JAS employees to become ambassadors of change by actively supporting social and environmental causes. Throughout the year, the Bruni Foundation, an integral part of JAS, will support various global projects, primarily focusing on these United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Quality Education, No Poverty, Clean Water and Sanitation, and Zero Hunger. Yet, understanding the current challenges towards the environment and the well-being of societies, the Bruni Foundation also actively supports initiatives that promote responsible environmental stewardship.
Current Situation
This week, the Red Sea crisis and geopolitical situation in the region worsened. Week 12 saw the first sunken vessel, MV 'Rubymar', leaking fuel and fertilizer, along with the tragic deaths of 3 seafarers that served on the MV 'True Confidence' when the attack occurred in the Gulf of Aden. Industry associations are urging vessel diversions until safe passage is guaranteed.
