Dear Valued Customer,
We are writing to make you aware of an increase in fraudulent email activity involving individuals and entities falsely claiming to represent JAS Worldwide or one of its subsidiaries.
Please note that all legitimate JAS entities and employees communicate exclusively using email addresses ending in “@jas.com.” Emails originating from any other domain name that purport to be from JAS, a JAS affiliate, or a JAS employee should be treated as suspicious and potentially fraudulent.
We have recently seen an uptick in attempted scams using look-alike domain names, altered email addresses, and other tactics intended to impersonate JAS. These messages may reference shipments, invoices, rate requests, banking changes, or other business matters to appear legitimate. These attempts have become increasingly sophisticated, including through the use of AI tools, and may not exhibit the typical hallmarks of scam attempts.
We strongly encourage you to:
- Verify that any email claiming to be from JAS comes from a jas.com address
- Avoid clicking links, opening attachments, or responding to messages that appear suspicious
- Promptly notify your usual JAS contact if you receive any email that purports to be from JAS but does not originate from a jas.com domain
Your vigilance helps protect both your organization and JAS from fraud. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your JAS representative directly using known and verified contact information.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
