
JAS’s customer, a prominent French pharmaceutical company, was preparing for a highly anticipated product launch in the United Kingdom. They required a massive air freight shipment of over 400-500 pallet cargoes containing essential paper containers/ cups from China to meet strict deadlines for their product launch.
The customer’s primary challenge was the urgency to transport a substantial number of paper containers/cups from China to United Kingdom for their product launch within strict deadlines. Ensuring high visibility and real-time updates on cargo status was crucial for their supply chain management. Additionally, effective capacity management for such a large-scale shipment required expert planning and execution to prevent any disruptions.
JAS took a proactive approach to address the customer’s challenges and deliver a comprehensive solution. The JAS team collaborated efficiently with the shipper in China, guiding them on how to recheck and repack the pallets/packages to ensure compatibility with all aircraft types. This optimized the capacity plan, providing greater flexibility and enhancing the overall efficiency of the project.
JAS rapidly offered a full solution in just five days, leveraging optimal carrier combinations, such as DDX and Non-DDX services, and partnering with multiple large airlines. This strategic planning ensured the project’s successful execution and minimized any delays or disruptions during transit.
To meet the customer’s requirement for high visibility and real-time updates on cargo status, the JAS Shanghai team collaborated closely with the JAS teams in France and the United Kingdom. Daily planning and monitoring sheets were sent to all related parties, ensuring seamless communication and coordination throughout the project’s duration.
Thanks to JAS’s expertise and strategic planning, the special air freight project was executed flawlessly. The cargo arrived in the United Kingdom safely and punctually, with no exceptions or delays. The successful handling of over 500 pallets and 700+ cubic meters showcased JAS’s ability to handle even the most challenging and complex shipments.
