By
Philip Huang
May 22, 2018

It was Philip Huang, Managing director of JAS Taiwan, who had the great honor of representing JAS in receiving the 2017 Million Dollar Sales Award from Mr. Jack Chin – Deputy G.M. of China Airlines Taiwan on May 9, 2018.

Mr. Huang had to say this upon receiving the award:

"This annual award represents JAS Taiwan's solid business relationship with the number one national flag airline in Taiwan as well as their appreciation of JAS Taiwan for contributing to the large amount of air cargo tonnage exporting from Taiwan to worldwide destinations in the last year."

China Airlines in-service fleet has 87 aircrafts, including 69 passenger jets and 18 freighters that fly out to 151 destinations in 29 countries/districts (as of April 2018). Their overall air cargo loading tonnage is ranked within the Top 10 in the world annually. In terms of their reliable service, flight frequency, competitive rate, and space availability in peak season, JAS Taiwan selects China Airlines as one of its strategical business partners and have been offering their services to our valued customers since 2007. JAS is more than happy that our clients always gain the commercial advantage by using this  JAS partnership with China Airlines.

JAS Projects is excited to start the new year with a successful delivery of 8,800 FRT incl. heavy lifts, up to 300 metric tons, to Singapore. On behalf of a valued customer, a customized transportation solution was developed by JAS Projects Germany in collaboration with the JAS Projects' teams in Singapore, Shanghai, and Seoul. JAS  is proud to be the 1st logistics service provider operating via the newly built Chawan jetty in Jurong Port Singapore. The complete scope involved in the ocean freight shipments from four different loading ports, including barging and roll off in Singapore, is complicated and involved intricate teamwork, planning, and an advanced understanding of freight forwarding.

JAS Projects was more than happy to meet and exceed those requirements. With shipping becoming more complicated everyday, having a team of experts on your side makes all the difference, and at JAS People Make the Difference.

With a 56% reduction in passenger flights since this time last year, the overall global air freight capacity is down about 13% from this time last year.

Limited space on remaining flights means frequent delays and interruptions of supply chains globally.

With the unpredictable availability of cargo space, how do we regain control of air freight to ensure service in such a critical time?

The traditional air freight model is no longer a realistic option, instead, alternative approaches are the key to maintaining a reliable and uninterrupted supply chain by providing door-to-door control of the shipping process.  It is crucial that every step of the process - from the time the cargo is picked up to its final delivery - is meticulously managed by the service provider with shipments processed through facilities controlled by the service provider, both at origin and destination, avoiding the typical congestion at airport hubs, reducing overall transit time, and increasing control.

Lastly, a prime network of delivery options carries the cargo to its ultimate destination.

In late 2020 JAS introduced BLUE WORLD PACIFIC, weekly flights between Shanghai and Chicago and a second route from Hong Kong to Los Angeles. The BLUE WORLD PACIFIC prime schedule is the best solution for supporting customers in the Asia – North America air freight corridor!

If your business could benefit from a regular service in the transatlantic corridor contact a local JAS representative for more information.
