JAS Contract Logistics Launches „Direct to Store Service” in Shanghai

JAS has launched its “Direct to Store” service at its Contract Logistics facility in Lingang, Shanghai, further expanding its capabilities to support retail and consumer brands with more streamlined, end-to-end supply chain solutions.

The service builds on a model already deployed in select markets, with an initial focus on supporting China-to-Australia flows. The Shanghai implementation represents an important step in scaling this approach across additional trade lanes and regions.

The launch was marked by an on-site event with customers and local leadership, underscoring the strategic importance of this development for JAS’s Asia Pacific operations.

“Market agility is no longer a luxury; it is a necessity. The launch of our ‘Direct to Store Service’ is an important step in our strategy. By integrating global consolidation with store-level fulfillment, we are helping our clients reduce complexity, shorten time-to-market, and optimize their total cost of ownership” Shahar Ayash, EVP Global Contract Logistics, JAS.

Connecting Origin to Store, More Effectively

The “Direct to Store” service is designed to reduce complexity between production and retail delivery by integrating consolidation, value-added services, and final distribution into a more cohesive flow:

  • Consolidation & PO Management: Improved coordination of purchase orders and inbound shipments to optimize container utilization and reduce overall freight costs.
  • Integrated Value-Added Services: Onsite capabilities including labeling, quality control, and kitting to ensure products are market-ready upon arrival.
  • End-to-End Visibility through MyJAS: Leveraging the MyJAS platform, customers benefit from real-time visibility and data integration across the full supply chain—from origin through to final store delivery—supporting more informed and responsive decision-making.

“This service reflects our ability to manage complex logistics processes on a global scale. By leveraging digital tools like MyJAS, we provide not just physical movement, but also the data transparency needed for informed decision-making. This allows global brands to operate and scale within regional markets with greater confidence and consistency, “adds Sebastian Tschackert, EVP Global Contract Logistics, JAS.

JAS continues to expand its Contract Logistics footprint in Asia, with a focus on scalable, customer-driven solutions. The Shanghai deployment will serve as a foundation for further rollout of the “Direct to Store” model across the global network.
