Emergency Fuel Surcharge Implemented for US Inland Services
In light of the current geopolitical situation and the resulting uncertainty in the international energy market, especially across critical supply routes, diesel prices are expected to experience increased volatility in the coming weeks. Since diesel is a key cost component in inland transportation and handling, these short term market fluctuations may impact the operating costs of inland services.
To provide a transparent and fair mechanism for recovering fuel related cost changes, we are implementing an Emergency Inland Fuel Surcharge, EFO, for applicable inland services utilizing combined truck and rail transport.
