JAS Launches Direct to Store Service in Shanghai

[Shanghai, China – May 6, 2026] – Today in Shanghai, we officially launched our Direct-to-Store (DTS) service at our Contract Logistics facility in Lingang.

DTS is designed to help retail and consumer brands move distribution work further upstream to origin — bringing together consolidation, value-added services, purchase order management, freight execution, and digital visibility before products move into destination markets.

The initial focus is on China-to-Australia retail flows, with Shanghai serving as a scalable platform for broader regional and global expansion. By combining JAS’ strong Contract Logistics and Ocean Freight capabilities, synchronized through our best-in-class IT ecosystem, including MyJAS, we provide customers with a more coordinated, end-to-end solution from origin to store.

“By moving distribution decisions upstream to origin, Direct to Store transforms logistics from a cost centre into a strategic advantage for our retail customers,” said Shahar Ayash, EVP Global Contract Logistics, JAS.

This model helps customers reduce complexity, improve speed to market, strengthen visibility, and optimize total landed cost.

The launch was marked by an on-site event with customers, local and global leadership, and a traditional lion dance — symbolizing growth, momentum, and new beginnings.

“The Shanghai DTS launch shows how JAS brings contract logistics, freight, and technology together to deliver faster, simpler, and more connected supply chains from origin to store,” adds Sebastian Tschackert, EVP Global Contract Logistics, JAS.

A big thank you to our China team for making this launch possible. This was a true group effort, combining our Ocean Freight product, Contract Logistics team, and strong support from the China commercial organization. It is a great example of how cross-functional collaboration at JAS turns integrated logistics into real, measurable value for our customers.
