The Ministry of Foreign Affaires, Hungary has selected the services of JAS Cargoways Inc. in Budapest to help in moving nearly 20 tons of food stuff to the earthquake victims in the Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.

Shipments were collected at the JAS warehouse in Budapest from a number of different suppliers around the country.

Upon arrival in the warehouse a Press conference was held, where the Deputy Minister officially gave the donation to Japan’s Ambassador to Hungary.                                                    

Besides the national television, many other commercial TV stations have broadcasted the event repeatedly during the evening news, where our office manager, Miss Anett Balogh was also interviewed.

A number of daily newspapers also published long articles with photographs of the event.

The large JAS logo was predominantly shown on every pallet right next to the flag of Hungary, a testimony of the recognition and respect of the JAS services even in Government circles.

Immediately after the whole shipment was loaded on two large trucks for overnight ride to Frankfurt, where together with other relief shipments it was consolidated for an Aero Logic flight direct to Japan.

Besides the Ministry of Foreign Affaires, JAS Hungary also provides regular services for the Ministry of Defense, the Agricultural Marketing division and occasionally to the Red Cross as well.
