JAS Forwarding is proud to announce the new release of Orbis V2.
Continuing with the success of its predecessor, Orbis was re-engineered to utilize the newest technologies which will enhance your visual and functionality Supply Chain and Shipment Tracking experience.
Enhancements have been made to:
Navigation of the Orbis System.
Methods of displaying data.
Collection of data from JAS Offices, 3rd party vendors, and customers.
Reporting
Navigation:
The navigational changes to Orbis allow you to quickly get to the application you want such as tracking, reporting, and maintenance.
The menu bar is always visible and as you put your mouse over each function, the available options will appear. You will also notice the tool tips at the bottom left of the screen to explain each function.
When you are within the applications, by clicking on a chart, you will be display the details for the purpose of each chart item. On each line of details, you may click anywhere on the line for additional features and actions.
Displaying Data:
Orbis has been enhanced with regards to the presentation of the data. Only the data refreshes on the screen where as in the past any change in data, required the entire screen to refresh. This caused delays in retrieving the data and the visual experience.
Orbis now uses graphical charts to represent data. Within these charts, information can be drilled down deeper into details.
3rd party data integration:
Orbis has been enhanced to allow easier integration and sharing of data with 3rd party vendors. GT Nexus for example will provide us with container status updates.
JXS (JAS Exchange Server) has also been enhanced to create a better data warehouse (collection of data) which allows for better Tracking & Reporting.
Reporting:
Reporting will be produced Microsoft Reporting Services and Crystal Reporting.
Common format and design
Exportable to most formats(EXCEL, PDF, XML, TEXT)

Visual experience not available in previous technology
Interactive Charts and Data Mining
Lends itself to new features and windows like forms
Application is loaded on users computer through internet
Screens don’t refresh, only data is retrieved from server.
