Dynawind AB is a company established in Sweden in 2006 and focused on wind power; it is part of Morphic, a Swedish group that develop and market environmentally-friendly energy systems. Since its establishment, Dynawind has been quite successful in the production and deployment of windmills across Sweden.
Dynawind AB contacted JAS Sweden following a recommendation from Rolls Royce AB (Sweden).
JAS Sweden obtained a contract with DynaWind for two huge windmills to be built in the winter of 2007 along the Swedish western coastline.
The first real challenge for JAS was to pick up one set of blades in southern Poland using special trucks and to deliver the blades within 4 days at a construction site in the middle of Sweden. Each blade is 31,05 x 2,82 x 1,50 meters (L x W x H).
Loading was performed in Poland on 4 September 2007 through JAS' sub-suppliers and, despite important road works on the way to the ferry port, the trucks were loaded on the ferry and started their voyage to Sweden according to schedule. To obtain this, JAS Sweden worked in close cooperation with the Polish road authorities to find a solution: after hours of waiting, the JAS special convoy was allowed to use a small road close to the forest line, to pass through the road works area.
The cargo was successfully delivered according to schedule to the site in Sweden on Saturday morning of 8 September 2007, and the cranes at the construction site could lift the cargo and begin the construction of the windmill safely.
All parties involved in the transportation were satisfied and JAS could again state "Nothing is too complicated to be performed".
