JAS Cargoways, Hungary, charters the huge Antonov An-225 for a shipment to Oman. JAS Cargoways Inc. of Budapest, Hungary has chartered the world‘s largest freighter, the huge Antonov An-225.
After lengthy negotiations to move approximately 185 tons of survey equipment and machinery from Budapest to Muscat (Oman), JAS Budapest has won the contract in competition with other large forwarders by offering this type of aircraft with its unique capabilities instead of utilizing two An-124s at a higher ground handling expense.

The logistics of assembling the cargo, arranging the customs inspections prior to departure at the GES Geophysical Services facilities, the transportation to the airport and subsequent security screening has been coordinated by the JAS staff in close co-operation with it’s client.
Loading took place at a remote corner of Budapest "Ferihegy" Airport, due to the size of the aircraft and part of one of the runways had to be restricted to allow space for the aircraft to park.
As a testimony to the fast and efficient loading of the aircraft, it departed only about 12 hours after arrival on schedule to its destination, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman.
This valuable cargo has been delivered to the full satisfaction of our customer.
