JAS Sweden and JAS Canada carry out a complicated shipment

for Cellwood Machinery ABJAS Sweden serves Cellwood Machinery AB since 2003. The customer is an important manufacturer and exporter of paper disbursing machines and their spare parts; the production is located in Sweden and in Canada, and Cellwood Machinery sells its products worldwide.

An increase in orders for Cellwood AB forced the company to outsource part of their production to Canada; this, in turn, resulted in a scenario where the JAS global organization really delivered for this customer.

Cellwood Machinery AB recently asked JAS Sweden to move a large number of heavier-than-usual machines by air, from Sweden and Canada to several worldwide destinations, mainly in Asia. Each machine weights about 6000 kg and is approximately 7,63 meters long by 1,60 meters wide by 1,66 meters high.

JAS Sweden’s Mr. P.O. Andersson in conjunction with JAS Canada’s Mr. Mike Robertson handled the most complicated airfreight of the lot, a shipment of large unpacked machines from Montreal, Canada to Osaka, Japan. The shipment left Montreal on 28th November, and arrived in Osaka on 3rd December, in safe and good condition.

For these shipments, Cellwood AB profited from the global JAS presence, with three reliable JAS branch offices composed of people having the local as well as the global knowledge, and the appropriate systems, to handle high-value unpacked machines within the tight limits of strict physical handling instructions.
