Exportation of a biotechnical laboratory from Sweden to USAJAS Forwarding Sweden has been awarded earlier this year by Pharmadule-Emtunga a large project featuring the shipment of 56 prefabricated house modules of about 12500 freight tons, from Uddevalla port to the site in south San Francisco, USA.

The impressive JAS network has been instrumental in the choice of JAS Sweden as the sole forwarder of Pharmadule-Emtunga, which is one of the world market leaders in high tech modular facilities.

In April this year, Mr. Stefano Redditi of JAS San Francisco and Mr. Johan Bjorklund of JAS Gothenburg visited with Mr Jorge Suarez, Genentech Inc., the American buyer, to discuss and coordinate the local arrangements at site and set up a workable information system among all the parties involved.

The first major shipment was performed on board of one of the Star Shipping Line's vessels called Star Okiana, departing from Sweden on November 18 toward San Francisco, E.T.A. December 20.

Loading commenced at 6.00 pm on Friday November 17 and continued up to 2.00 am on Saturday. As expected, the whole cargo has been secured into the holds of the vessel smoothly and in good conditions.
The second shipment ex Sweden is scheduled to be around mid December and all cargoes should be reaching USA not later than January 20, 2006.

The great teamwork of JAS Gothenburg and JAS San Francisco reflects on a smaller scale the teamwork attitude so common in the entire network.
