Another successful shipment to mark the excellence of JAS service and teamwork worldwide.
JAS New Zealand has just completed a major project shipment for a new cheese-making factory to be built in New Zealand (Open Country Cheese Co.).
The machinery was purchased near Minneapolis, USA and handled there by JAS Chicago.
The machinery was split over two shipments. The first shipment comprised seven break-bulk pieces of machinery; the largest measured 14 meters long per 5 meters wide per 4 meters high with a weight of 18.5 tons. They were moved on Wallenius Wilhelmsen through the port of Baltimore.
The second shipment comprised 6 per 40' containers, which were moved on Maersk Line through the port of Seattle.
Mr. Ian Jenner, Managing Director of JAS New Zealand, describes this project shipment as "an interesting project put together with a bit of innovative thinking and made to work thanks to the cooperation of JAS Chicago and Wallenius Wilhelmsen".
