JAS USA today announced the acquisition of Cargo UK Inc. a regional Freight forwarder and Logistics provider with offices in Atlanta, Charleston & Memphis. Cargo UK operates a fleet of 26 Tractors, 37 Trailers and 15 Chassis and employs over 100 staff.

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc’s President & CEO Marco Rebuffi said: “This venture represents a major step forward for JAS USA and further strengthens our position in the South East United States. Acquiring a company with the reputation of Cargo UK whose quality & commitment is well known throughout this market is particularly pleasing. What is even more pleasing is the fact that we have been able to retain the services of former Cargo (UK) owner Roger Botting who will assume the position of South East Regional Vice President.”

Cargo UK’s operations will now merge together with JAS USA and joint operations will commence September 1st, 2004. JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. now has 17 offices and 300 staff throughout the continental USA.
