The Argentinean branch of JAS delivers goods for Petreven across the Andes and the Atacama Desert. When Petreven, company controlled by Italian Gruppo Trevi, planned carrying a mobile plant of oil mud treatment from Argentina to Petrobras Peru, hired JAS Argentina to do the "door to door" transport.

Discarded other ways of transport, JAS Argentina offered Petreven the ground alternative as the best solution in terms of cost and benefit.

The main challenge consisted in dodging the geographic features presented by the Andes Rocks (altitude more than 3.500 mts above see level), drive through the north of Chile going through Atacama Desert (the driest desert around the world) to finally arrive in Lima, Peru. The Los Andes Mountain Chain must be crossed almost twice.

Once the agreement between Petreven and JAS Forwarding was signed, the project started functioning through 9 vehicles for the overdimensioned cargo that included special equipment + crew (low beds, flat trailers and trucks) to transport the 900m3 from the mobile plant of oil mud treatment along the 3,700km driven in Argentine, Chilean and Peruvian routes. A reliable plan, staff and subcontractor and the sense of responsibility and courage were being proved during the whole trip, which has taken almost a month.

This project was completed successfully and became another example of quality service aligned with JAS Worldwide corporate values.
